“Clean City My Dream City” initiated by The Manthan School
The Manthan School, Noida’ initiated the ‘Clean City My Dream City’ campaign on February 2nd, 2016. The campaign aimed at inculcating the importance of practicing cleanliness and hygiene among the students and to create awareness among other people. On this occasion, all the teachers and students were given the responsibility to identify places around the premises and meet the people to guide them to keep their city clean. The students participated in the cleanliness exercise with enthusiasm and urged the local food vendors and shopkeepers to join this campaign.
The students went to the local market areas of sector 50 and 41 and interacted with the roadside vendors. They spoke about the importance of cleanliness for personal health and to maintain the cleanliness of their own city. Students distributed dustbins to the food vendors to use as garbage bins and keep the area clean. The shopkeepers responded positively to the initiative taken by the young students and followed this initiative diligently.
Divya Jain, director, The Manthan School said, “In order to have a proper habitat, it is significant that its users and residents maintain it with utmost hygiene and care. The campaign provided an opportunity to the students, teachers and habitants of the regions to keep their surrounding clean and to motivate others also to do the same. We are glad to have received such a wonderful response from everybody and hope this initiative has no expiry date”.
