From time immemorial our country, India has been considered a pious land from where the knowledge spread out to the world. Starting from the Himalayas down to the Indian Ocean the land created by God is called “Hindustan”. Today, as we celebrate 73rd Republic Day the students portrayed solidarity through a heart-warming special assembly. The cultural celebrations included dance, music, and conversation by the students on a patriotic day. Singing to the tunes of ‘Vande Matram’ infused mixed emotions in children and teachers – pride, love and respect for the country. A plethora of activities like poster making and craft creation generated loyalty, patriotism and showcased our rich historical, traditional and cultural heritage. Students were shown informative videos, reiterating the importance of the Drafting Committee headed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The message given was clear and loud that we the citizens of India believe in ourselves and always strive to give in our best. As we remember the leaders who laid down their lives to free our country from the shackles of slavery, now the onus lies in our hands to save this freedom and abide by the rights given to us in the Constitution. The young generation took a pledge to keep our country sovereign and republic.
