In order to develop cognitive abilities and enhance the cultural competency of the children ‘Toy Mela’ was celebrated in school by Early Years students and teachers. Children made unique toys of the states of Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh and gained awareness of the cultural diversity of our country. Through this ‘Toy Mela’ our children got an opportunity to not only showcase their presentation skills but also experience the making of a toy which involved many steps with the guidance of the educators. The children thoroughly enjoyed presenting their favorite toys which are brightly colored, attractive and most importantly the materials chosen involved the usage of waste materials as well. We are glad to provide an opportunity to make our children culturally sound and socially active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
